In March arrangements still have a wintery feel. Hellebores are the star of the show. Spring is dominated by flowering bulbs, many of which are scented. Later we enjoy cherry and apple blossom and for a very short time only ... scented lilac.

Harvest comes to mind. The last big crescendo before the first frost brings it all to a sudden end. As for the berries you need to be quick ... the birds are ravenous.

It never stops to amaze me how many flowers can be found even in the depth of winter. Seedheads, berries and foliage plants, all add further interest. You won't find me at the market with fresh flowers in winter but you can order them. During December I sell Christmas Wreaths.
